Google bans thethering aplications on the market

As said in http://www.falsedichotomies.org/node/73 Google has started to ban the theter aplications on android market because a violation of the Developer distribution agreement, because they violate the T-Mobile Terms of service.. It's T-Mobile the only carrier that offer devices with android? Right now maybe, but in short time that would change, what would do google then?

In the search for more revenues, the telecom companys have created a lot of incomprehensible data plans, the unlimited (and expensive) ones for connecting with your laptop, and a lot of smaller ones with every kind of absurd limitation, like the ability to tether with it. The problem is that to comply with the limitations, the have achieved that the phone itself can' t be capable of offer tethering like in the iphone or android, (fortunately windows mobile or symbian has this abilities before the increase of mobile internet connections).

I just don't understand why limit the connection capabilities of a device, or limit a princing plan based in the device that makes the request, if they wan't to limit the overuse or saturation of they networks, offer a properly priced data plans based in the consumed traffic or bandwidth, but don't put absurd limits on the devices or in the market applications.

Update:
google has recognized that the total ban from the marke is disproportionate and will just remove thetering applications from t-mobile US network   http://www.falsedichotomies.org/node/74
